Spotty Otter
Our brief was to create an exciting, distinctive look for the brand. After researching the outdoor clothing market, we developed a brand position and identity to appeal to both adults and children alike. The brand strategy '(fun)ction' married the technical capabilities of the clothing with the fun aspects of an outdoors lifestyle. The distinctive 'O' containing a swimming Otter had to be simple in it's form to allow for embroidering onto the various items of clothing. Other elements to the project included art directing a photo shoot and roll out of the identity across various marketing materials including website, retail pack, exhibition materials and clothing tags.
The 8 month long project was carried out as part of the Design Works programme run by the Design Council and Business Link South Yorkshire aimed at increasing awareness of the benefits of design related services.
